Ready to protect Domestic Steel Industry: Syedain Abbasi, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Steel

India must protect its steel industry. This was said by the Joint Secretary, Ministry of Steel, Syedain Abbasi at ASSOCHAMâ€™s Summit on India Pipeline in New Delhi. The secretary added that the industry must, in turn, act responsibly. Addressing the gathering Member of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board â€“ Dr B Mohanty called for stable government policies in order to attract investment. He also enumerated a number of policy decisions that the government had made for the betterment of the industry. Also present on the occasion was Member, APMA and Business Head, Ratnamani Metals and Tubes Ltd â€“ Manoj Sanghvi who spoke of the importance of pipelines to the country and the establishment of the Indian Pipe Manufacturers Association. The summit also witnessed technical presentations and discussions on the Opportunities for Pipelines in Infrastructure, Oil and Gas, Water and Slurry transportation. Prominent dignitaries that graced the occasion included Former Member, PNGRB â€“ Dr B S Negi; Senior VP, Welspun Corporation Ltd â€“ Ajay Mistry, Director-BD, Dura-Line India Pvt Ltd- Yogesh Kumar; Secretary General of ASSOCHAM â€“ D. S. Rawat and Senior Managing Committee Member, ASSOCHAM â€“ H S Chhatwal, besides others.
