ASSOCHAM and ITC organize a Free Diabetes Health Check Up Camp

On 14Th November 2017, World Diabetes Day, ASSOCHAM Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility and Press Club of India with the support of ITC organized a Free Diabetes Health Check Up Camp. The camp involved the presence of doctors from Pushpwati Singhania Research Institute and Total Care Control. Speaking to Digital ASSOCHAM Dr. Rajesh Kesari and Dr. Swati Kartikar reasoned the rise of lifestyle diseases in India and preventive measures. They stressed on the need for a balanced diet and regular exercise. Also present on the occasion was the Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs, ITC – Anil Rajput who came to oversee the proceedings. He also spoke of the efforts made by ASSOCHAM and ITC to ensure a better and healthier India. The occasion also witnessed a street play presentation highlighting the causes and symptoms of Diabetes. At the camp, the doctors screened visitors for HBA1C, Sugar, BMI, Blood Pressure and provided guidance on diabetes management and diet plans. Altogether in the span of a few hours the camp served around 450 people, a small but significant step for a healthy India.
